Folger Theatre presented their production of Shakespeare's R&J, adapted and directed by Joe Calarco, from February 18 to March 19, 2000 in the Folger's Elizabethan Theatre. Shakespeare's R&J was nominated for two Helen Hayes Awards: "Outstanding Resident Play," and Joe Calarco was nominated for "Outstanding Director, Resident Play."
