Folger Theatre produced Shakespeare's R&J, adapted and directed by Joe Calarco, from February 18 to March 19, 2000.
The Production
Shakespeare's R&J was nominated for two Helen Hayes Awards: "Outstanding Resident Play," and Joe Calarco was nominated for "Outstanding Director, Resident Play."
Entertainment unions represented in Folger Theatre productions include The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (**), United Scenic Artists, and the Actors' Equity Association (*), which includes members of the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers.
