Template for collection item articles

Jump to: navigation, search

This is one of a series of articles which describes a template that will allow for consistent and easy article creation on Folgerpedia.

This template is for recording information about a Folger Shakespeare Library collections item. Click the "piece of paper symbol" in the upper right of your screen. Under "edit source," copy the code below the line (<hr/>) into the "creating" page to get a head-start on creating an article for a collections item. You probably won't need all the sections listed below, they are simply suggestions. We highly recommend a descriptive title for all articles on collections items. If one subsection is particularly important and/or lengthy, it is worthwhile to bump it up from Subheader 1 to Header level. The category:Collection is necessary for all collections items articles, but other designators can be used as applicable, including subcategories such as 'Manuscripts.'

You can save a DRAFT of your article by putting {{draft}} as the first word in the article (with the curly brackets).

Examples:

Lady Anne Kerr manuscript receipt book circa 1674

The Mothers Blessing by Dorothy Leigh
