Cynthia Macdonald has read for the O.B. Hardison Poetry Series on two occasions: December 12, 1986 for the Emily Dickinson Birthday Tribute, and on October 22, 1992.
Macdonald combines wit and technical sophistication in bravura poems of terrifying insight. A former opera singer and Freudian lay analyst, Macdonald developed the distinguished creative writing program at the University of Texas at Houston and has published six books of poetry including Living Wills, Alternate Means of Transport, and I Can’t Remember.
