Victoria's Requiem: Rich and Resounding in the Great Cathedral (2008)

Tomas Luis de Victoria's 1605 Requiem is a stunning masterpiece by the greatest Spanish composer of the late Renaissance. Passionate, grave, and distinctly Spanish, this work resounded in the great space of the Washington National Cathedral in the Folger Consort's performance of Victoria's Requiem: Rich and Resounding in the Great Cathedral. It was complemented by rich and resonant works for winds, strings, and keyboard, with dazzling vibrations for all the players. Folger Consort performed Victoria's Requiem from January 11 to January 12, 2008 at the Washington National Cathedral.
