Elizabeth Williamson joined the Folger in September 2015 as the Encoding Specialist for A Digital Anthology of Early Modern English Drama. From 2013-15 she was Digital Project Manager for Cultures of Knowledge (University of Oxford), developing the digital platform ‘Early Modern Letters Online’. She completed her PhD on early modern diplomatic correspondence at the Centre for Editing Lives and Letters (University of London) in 2012. Her research interests include diplomacy and the history of political information, early modern archives and archiving, and the digital humanities. She is a member of the COST network, ‘Reassembling the Republic of Letters, 1500-1800: A digital framework for multi-lateral collaboration on Europe’s intellectual history’.
