This is one of a series of articles which describes a template that will allow for consistent and easy article creation on Folgerpedia.

If you're new to creating articles, see the Folgerpedia article for what Folgerpedia is, Getting started for an introduction to creating content, and the Manual of Style for guidance on standard structure and formatting. Please read our Folgerpedia contributor policy before making any edits.

If you encounter any technical issues with the wiki, please email folgerpedia@folger.edu.

Our article naming convention is for fellows to use their name as the title of the article. To create an article, search for your name in the search box at the upper right. On the results page, one of the options will be "Create the article [your name] in Folgerpedia". Click on that link to start your article.

The Folgerpedia editor will open in 'Source editing" mode. On the upper right of the page there is a pencil icon near the 'save page' button. If you click on the pencil icon, you can change to "Visual editing" mode, which is much easier to use.

Once you are ready, copy the parts after the line below and paste them onto the page to get a head-start on creating an article for an artistic research fellow. The categories included at the bottom should be retained, but other categories can be added from the list of categories.

You can save a DRAFT of your article by putting {{draft}} as the first word in the article (with the curly brackets). You can simply delete that when you are done working on the draft. (Note that the draft is public as you create it, but it bears a warning box to indicate that the page is still considered a draft.)

For an example of a fellow's page, please see Anne E. B. Coldiron (brief example) or Elisa Tersigni (longer example).

Do not copy the following category onto your new page: Category:Template

This page reflects an artist's association with the Folger Institute.

[name of research project, years of fellowship]

[description of research]
