"A plotte of the landes about Ashbourne," Derbyshire, ca. 1600

Sketch map representing the principal observed features of the area around Ashbourne, including Bradbourne, Lea, Kniveton, Bentley, Tissington, and Mapleton (Derbyshire). Including references to locations of mills as well several weirs pulled down on the orders of Sir Humphrey Bradbourne. On dorse: "plan Ashbourne Derby[shire]" in much later hand.

Watermark: Hand (3 B B) with star.
