Infer gender based on given names. For example, assume that Alice is female and John is male.
Refrain from making assumptions about ambiguous given names (Robin, Pat, Leslie), or if you are in doubt about its gender-association in a particular language (Sille, Chunhua), and you have no other information.
If none of the authorized terms apply, choose a term from LCSH and identify the source in ǂ2 (375 Transgender people ǂ2 lcsh)
