Biography

Jack Bouchard is an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, where he teaches environmental history. He holds a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, and researches the history of fishing, island environments, and foodways in the early Atlantic world. From 2018-2020, he served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the Before 'Farm to Table': Early Modern Foodways and Cultures Mellon project.
