In Conversation: Peter Marks and Eric Tucker, one of the Talks and Screenings at the Folger, was held in the historic Paster Reading Room of the Folger Shakespeare Library on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 7:00pm.
At this event, Washington Postchief theater critic Peter Marks sat down with director Eric Tucker to discuss his stripped-down staging of George Bernard Shaw’s classic Saint Joan—and bringing the highly acclaimed production to the Folger Theatre.
The conversation also covered the success of Tucker's Bedlam Theatre Company in New York, bringing Jane Austen to the stage, and approaching Shakespeare and other classic authors for a modern audience.
