Free Folger Friday: Timone of DC, one of the Talks and Screenings at the Folger, was held in the Folger Theatre on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 6:00pm.

Timone of DC was a theatre experience created by the Street Sense Theatre Workshop. Using improv, song, and personal testimony from cast members, Timone transformed the story of Timon of Athens into a contemporary exploration of the impulses behind giving and receiving. The Street Sense Theatre Workshop is directed by Leslie Jacobson of George Washington University.

The event included a pre-show conversation between Jacobson, Dani Gilmour of Street Sense, and several cast members on what the story of Timon can mean to us here and now in DC.
