en-dash and hyphens

Wikipedia MoS says to use en-dashes in dates. I would like to see us use hyphens; en- and em-dashes wreak havoc in MARC records. Deborah J. Leslie 13:40, 14 March 2014 (EDT)

Because MARC uses the hyphen and double-hyphen to represent dashes, that's what should be used when writing out MARC. --Erin Blake (talk) 15:59, 6 May 2014 (EDT)

First person plural
