For the O.B. Hardison Poetry Series 2010, Edward Hirsch read from his work in the Folger's Elizabethan Theatre on September 8th, 2010. Poet Judith Harris introduced Edward Hirsch and moderated the conversation.

Edward Hirsch

Edward Hirsch’s work is full of wonder and joy and brings others to knowing, understanding, and loving poetry. His poetry collections include most recently The Living Fire and Special Orders. He is also the author of the prose volumes The Demon and the Angel: Searching for the Source of Artistic Inspiration; Responsive Reading; the national bestseller How to Read a Poem and Fall in Love with Poetry; and Poet's Choice, which collects two years' worth of his weekly essay-letters that ran in Washington Post Book World. In 2008, he was elected a Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets.
