Folger Consort performed Don Quixote from April 17 to April 19, 2009 in the Folger's Elizabethan Theatre, offering an evening of music inspired by Cervantes' classic tale of comic chivalry, Don Quixote. Baritone William Sharp, soprano Rosa Lamoreaux and a cadre of expert instrumentalists performed Quixote-inspired works by Purcell, Telemann, D'Urfey and more, interspersed with readings from the book by actor Floyd King.
