Folger Consort performed Brave New World: Music of the Tempest, a program exploring and celebrating the musical interpretations of Shakespeare's The Tempest, on January 10 and January 11, 2014. Brave New World included Matthew Locke’s 1674 incidental music for orchestra and voices, and a beguiling 2000 piece for soprano, baritone, and Renaissance instruments by American composer James Primosch. The Consort's performances featured Rosa Lamoreaux, William Sharp, and Tempesta di Mare.
