Bibliography of Classical Authors and Texts before 1600: Difference between revisions

The Folger holdings are rich in translations and editions of Greek and Roman authors. Below is an alphabetical list of works created or printed before 1600 held in the Folger collection. We also hold many seventeenth-century editions, such as Poetae minores Graeci.

Following the compilations and collections listed first, they proceed alphabetically by the commonly accepted form of the author's name.

N.B., this does not include the several thousand vernacular translations or adaptations held in the Folger. These are easily found with a Subject search in the online catalog.
