In Before & After: Poets Respond to Romeo and Juliet, two local poets, Joel Dias-Porter and Paulette Beete responded to the Folger Theatre's Romeo and Juliet (Folger Theatre, 2013). The original work of the poets explored themes from the play, in this unique lyrical communication between genres.
