Folger Consort performed A Renaissance Christmas: Music of Flanders and Italy circa 1500 from December 16 to December 23, 2014 in the Folger's Elizabethan Theatre. With voices, winds, and strings, the Consort explored the contrast between the styles of Josquin, Ockeghem, Obrecht, and Compère through each composer's seasonal music. The Consort performed A Renaissance Christmas with viol and recorder, as well as accompanying winds, harp, lute, and vocal artists.
