Erin Blake became Head of Collection Information Services at the Folger Shakespeare Library in 2014, after 14 years as the Folger's Curator of Art & Special Collections. She holds a Ph.D. in Art History from Stanford University, and is a faculty member of Rare Book School at the University of Virginia, where she teaches “History of Printed Book Illustration in the West” every other year or so. She is known in the library community for having led the editorial team writing Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials (Graphics), which was published in 2013 by the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section of the Association of College and Research Libraries in collaboration with the Library of Congress.
