Revision as of 10:42, 13 June 2014 by ClaireDapkiewicz (talk | contribs)
The vibrant traditions of Renaissance instrumental music were ever-present in the exuberant and earthy material of the final program of the 2004-2005 season, with viols, violins, lutes, recorders, trombones, bagpipe, harps, flutes, whistles, hurdy-gurdy, and percussion taking center stage. In Playing with Fire, the Folger Consort presented lively dance music, sophisticated fantasies, and brilliant improvisational divisions from all over Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries. The Folger Consort preformed Playing with Fire from May 27 to May 29, 2005.
