Setting barcode scanner preferences
The Collections Division at the Folger uses Honeywell "Voyager" barcode scanners to speed up data entry. To make things extra-confusing, Voyager is also the software that powers the Folger's Integrated Library System.
Settings on barcode scanners are changed by scanning specially-created barcodes specific to that make and model. To save you from going through the full manual on the manufacturer's website, Folgerpedia has a one-page document giving barcodes for the settings most commonly used at the Folger. For best results, print it out, otherwise you'll just be scanning the reflection from your computer screen).
