The Macbeth Screening at the Carter Barron Amphitheatre, one of the Talks and Screenings at the Folger, was held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 8:15pm at the Carter Barron Amphitheatre.
Experience the thrill of Folger Theatre’s sold-out 2008 production of Macbeth at the Carter Barron Amphitheatre in Rock Creek Park. Directed by Teller (of Penn & Teller) and Aaron Posner and recorded before a rapt audience in the Folger's intimate Elizabethan Theatre, this "supernatural horror thriller” showcases the inventive magic of Teller and is a perfect night out for Shakespeare novices or for anyone looking for brilliant new insights into a classic.
The New York Times called the production “a knockout” and The Wall Street Journal said, “This riveting Macbeth ought to be seen by as many people as possible."
Co-produced with Two River Theater Company.
