Folger Consort performed Map of the World: Music from 13th- and 15th- Century Spain from September 27 to September 29, 2013. Evocative Spanish music of the 13th and 15th centuries, including Spanish dances, history’s first song cycle — the Seven Songs of Love by Gallician Martin Codax, and a mass by Juan Cornago were performed with vocalists, fiddles, winds, lutes, and psalteries in the program.
