Folger Theatre produced Love's Labor's Lost directed by Vivienne Benesch that ran from March 16th 2019 to June 30th 2019.

Photo by Brittany Diliberto The King of Navarre (Joshua David Robinson, top) proclaims his court as a place of scholarly pursuit to his companions (Zachary Fine, Jack Schmitt, Matt Dallal).

"Friendly and frisky ... the show so gets the erudite spirit of the play" - The Washington Post

A young king and his three compatriots renounce the company of women in favor of scholarly pursuits. Their pact is immediately jeopardized, however, when the Princess of France and her companions arrive. Will the men stand resolute and keep their monastic vows—or surrender to the charms of the opposite sex? Shakespeare’s delicious play is full of lovers and clowns, foolery and the follies of the heart. Don't miss this rarely performed comedy on our historic Washington, DC stage across from the US Capitol.
