- CAUTION: the font size and bold/not-bold affects what you see on the screen and what prints out, so if you pick a huge font size, then print a record, it will take up a kazillion sheets of paper.
Cataloging module
These instructions cover settings for all users of the Cataloging module, not just catalolgers, except where indicated.
Catalogers only: Before getting started, navigate to Cataloging (I:)/Connexion/LocalSaveFiles, and create a folder named with your initials, e.g. I:/Connexion/LocalSaveFiles/ABC, if you have not already done so. This is the folder where your import and export files will be stored by Connexion and Voyager (see Folders/Files heading below). Once you have a local save folder, go to Options > Preferences in the relevant Voyager module.
Everyone: From the top menu bar, select Options > Preferences and set the following options:
General tab
- If you mostly work with Open stacks books
- Holding/item default location: DeckB-Open stacks
- Call number hierarchies: Modern-LC
- Bibliographic import/replace profile: Modern or Replace on 035 match
- Bib Overlay import/replace profile: (none)
- Authority import/replace profile: LCNAF
- If you mostly work with Vault materials
- Holding/item default location: DeckC-Vault (or other vault, if appropriate)
