Revision as of 11:27, 16 August 2019
These resources for teaching paleography grew out of a Andrew W. Mellon Foundation-supported workshop directed by Heather Wolfe, Curator of Manuscripts and Associate Library from Audience Development at the Folger Shakespeare Library, from 27-29 August 2019. That workshop's participants, listed below with their current affiliations at the time of the workshop, brought many different perspectives to bear on their shared approaches to teaching early modern handwriting. They have created and compiled methods and templates for paleographic instruction a variety of settings and with both physical manuscripts and digital facsimiles.
