On Monday January 18, 2021 poets [https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poets/camonghne-felix Camonghne Felix], [https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poets/julian-randall Julian Randall], and [https://josephrossnet.wordpress.com/ Joseph Ross] were joined by actors [http://www.sarabarker.com/ Sara Barker], [https://www.folger.edu/cast/fatima-quander Fatima Quander], and [https://www.backstage.com/u/jamesjjohnson/ James Johnson] for our annual celebration of the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This pre-recorded virtual event featured contemporary poetry alongside historical speeches from Dr. King, Gandhi, Frederick Douglass, Malcolm X, James Baldwin, and others.
