Since the Folger catalogs materials in Connexion, records for its materials are available and searchable in WorldCat. You can use Worldcat's "Find in a library feature" to see if the Folger has copies of items you are looking for, and you can add the Folger as a "favorite" if you have a (free) WorldCat account. | |||

Online Computer Library Center, Inc. (OCLC) is "a nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the public purposes of furthering access to the world’s information and reducing information costs". Founded in 1967 as the Ohio College Library Center, OCLC and its member libraries cooperatively produce and maintain WorldCat, a shared public catalog. The Folger uses several OCLC products.
Connexion
OCLC Connexion is the interface for editing and creating bibliographic and authority records. Folger catalogers edit directly in the Connexion client and download records to Voyager, the system that powers our online catalog Hamnet. Please refer to Connexion client options when setting up the client on a new computer. A printable Connexion Client Quick Reference in PDF format can be downloaded from OCLC's website.
Worldcat
Since the Folger catalogs materials in Connexion, records for its materials are available and searchable in WorldCat. You can use Worldcat's "Find in a library feature" to see if the Folger has copies of items you are looking for, and you can add the Folger as a "favorite" if you have a (free) WorldCat account.
