Cry "Havoc!", one of the Talks and Screenings at the Folger, was held in the Elizabethan Theatre Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 7:00pm.
Using Shakespeare’s timeless words, and a few of his own, actor and veteran Stephan Wolfert performed this interactive play that deals with Shakespeare’s soldiers, including iconic figures like Richard III, Othello, Henry V, and others. The play demonstrates how the military men and women of Shakespeare’s time wrestled with the same hopes and worries that occupy our modern lives.
Following the performance, Wolfert was joined for an audience talk-back by Gary Barker of Promundo-US, USIP Ambassador Steven Steiner, and Michael Witmore of the Folger.
The play was presented in association with Promundo-US and the United States Institute of Peace.
