Folger Theatre co-produced Standup Shakespeare with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival from November 7 to 19, 1995 in the Folger's Elizabethan Theatre. Jeff Hairston, the male vocalist, and Jack Bashkow, the Music Director, were both nominated for Helen Hayes Awards for "Outstadning Lead Actor, Resident Musical" and "Outstanding Musical Director, Resident Musical," respectively.
