On January 21, 2008 at 2:00pm, the [[O.B. Hardison Poetry Series]] celebrated the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a combined program of dramatic readings of speeches and poetry. The event was held at the [[The Haskell Center for Education and Public Programs]]. The Folger also collected donations of unopened toilitries for distribution to homeless shelters as a part of "A Fresh Start for 2008".
