(Re)discover Baroque Germany's favorite composer, Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1667), through an ear-opening performance by Philadelphia's premier Baroque orchestra Tempesta di Mare. <em>Fire & Invention</em> included two grand, pull-out-all-the-stops concertos for orchestra and was the modern premiere of six newly found entr'acts by Telemann, all written for the finest band of his day, the Dresden Hofkapelle (now the Dresden State Orchestra), and collected by its concertmaster, Telemann's close friend and virtuoso violinist, Johann Georg Pisendel.
