Digital humanities is a range of research, teaching, and creation practices in humanities subject fields conducted with digital technologies, particularly networked digital resources. Digital humanities projects are often collaborative and involve input from a wide range of stakeholders, including scholars, librarians, computer scientists, curators, and members of the public. Because digital humanities projects are typically interdisciplinary and collaborative, definitions vary considerably.

Digital Humanities used to also be known by "humanities computing" and "Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)." Whether the Digital humanities are a collective or plural noun is also debated.
