Folger inclement weather policy

The Folger follows the Federal Government with regard to weather related closings.

If the Federal Government is CLOSED or CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC then the Folger is CLOSED

If the Federal Government announces a “DELAYED ARRIVAL”, Folger staff are advised to travel safely and will open the Reading Room when a sufficient number of staff have arrived. You should check with security (202-675-0309) or the @FolgerResearch twitter account to make sure that the Reading Room is open.

If the Federal Government announces “DELAYED OPENING” the Reading Room will open at the time announced by the Federal Government.
